This is a backbreaking industry; we are all well aware of that. But we also all know a couple of guys who could lift a box van on their own if they had to, so for them, moving stone around is “no big deal.” If you’re one of those people, or know someone who is, consider this: just because you can carry it, doesn’t mean you should. By using specialized tools for your job, you can significantly improve your quality of life and prolong the number of years you are able to work in this industry.

Years of repeated lifting and moving heavy materials can and will take a toll on your body.  Don’t set yourself up for a painful early retirement; take advantage of the tools and technology available to you now!  At Omni Cubed, Inc., jobsite safety is a top-of-mind priority, and their engineering and industry experts have developed several purpose-built tools that make stone handling safer and easier.

One of Omni Cubed’s most versatile stone-moving carts is the Pro-Cart AT2. It was specifically designed to overcome jobsite challenges, such as stairs and rough terrain.  It has an innovative, adjustable wheelbase that provides four inches of sliding room to match varying stair tread pitch, allowing you rest it on stairs, mid-climb!  Workers can pace themselves in multi-level homes and buildings.

The large wheels and high ground clearance allow you to go up over curbs, entryways and other obstacles with ease. The AT2 bears the weight of large stone pieces so workers don’t have to.  It can handle up to 1,000 pounds and, in many cases, can be operated by one person. The Pro-Cart AT2’s collapsible uprights hold your material in place during transportation, and fold down out of the way, allowing you to simply tilt the material right off the cart, with little to no lifting to get the piece onto cabinets.

The Pro-Cart’s right-hand handle is actually the Aqua-Jaw™ Carry Vise™.  This is a one-of-a-kind solution for manually lifting, pushing, and pulling stone around the shop or at the jobsite. These patented, all-weather carry clamps use a vise-like action to grip onto your material so they won’t slip off—even when wet. Aqua-Jaws distribute weight to both arms, enabling safe and ergonomic lifting up to 800 pounds.  There’s also an optional Handle Kit that lets you get eight hands on those really heavy pieces.

Having the right tools for the job minimizes the risk of injury, maximizes efficiency, and protects your muscles and bones from shock and fatigue. This dynamic tool duo will help keep YOU in good working condition for years to come.  Learn more about these tools and how they can help you and your crew at omnicubed.com.
